Yevgen Chernov
 | Bio: | My background is clinical pharmacy. I graduated from Dnipropetrovs’k State Medical Academy, (Dnipropetrovs’k, Ukraine) in 2006. After internship at National Pharmaceutical (University, Kharkiv) 2007 I became licensed clinical pharmacist. After graduation I was working as a teacher of pharmacology and pharmacokinetics Department of General and Clinical Pharmacology, Dnipropetrovs’k State Medical Academy from 2008 till 2010. Despite my profession I was always interested in cancer research. Later I was involved in clinical trials at the Department of Oncology at Dnipropetrovs’k State Medical Academy as clinical pharmacist from 2010 till 2011. Then I did research project at Institute of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, Smolensk (Russian Federation) where my project was devoted to typing of different antibiotic resistant bacteria, especially MRSA from 2011 till 2012. On completing the project I continued my work as clinical pharmacist at State Pharmaceutical Company (Dnipropetrovs’k, Ukraine) till 2013.
Yevgen is currently Gastric Glyco Explorer network and working on his PhD project under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Borén at the Depatment of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics at Umeå University. His project is devoted to glycophenotyping of gastric cells and H. pylori adhesin characterization.
